MIPCOM 2009 ResultsMIPCOM 2009 Results TV Channel “Russia” presented its new documentary, series and feature film catalogue. The main emphasis was made on the promotion of the following feature films and series: “Seventeen moments of Spring IN COLOUR”, “Stronger than War”, “To kill Stalin”, the new TV-series with the working title “Efrosinya” and others. The new feature film, presented by TV Channel “Russia, “Kandahar” deserves special mention. The film is directed by Andrei Kavun and produced by Ilya Neretin and Valery Todorovski. The picture editor is well-known Gabriella Cristiani. Casting: Vladimir Mashkov, Aleksandr Baluyev, Andrey Panin, Bogdan Benjuk, Alexandr Golubev. On the 4th of February 2010 “Kandahar” will be screened in Russia and CIS countries. The representatives of TV Channel “Russia” held talks with the major native and foreign players of movie, TV and video industries. We already have an agreement on “Kandahar” TV-premier on the most ranked Ukrainian TV Channel “Inter” in September 2010. The historic spy fiction series “To kill Stalin” will be broadcasted also on “Inter” in May 2010. Another agreement was reached concerning the broadcast of the new telenovela “Efrosinya” on Ukrainian TV Channel “TRK Ukraine”. TV Channel Russia continues its sales activity both in the East and in the West. We are in the process of talks with the major companies in Europe and Asia concerning the “Kandahar” broadcast. The companies from South-East Asia (from the Philippines, Thailand, South Korea, Vietnam) were particularly interested in the new TV-projects by TV Channel “Russia”: TV-series “Stronger than War” and “Seventeen moments of Spring IN COLOUR”, telenovelas “Carmelita” and “The Mermaid”. The documentaries produced by TV Channel Russia are traditionally popular among the buyers. TV Channel “Russia” continues cooperation with the major companies, specializing in documentary. Right now we are holding talks with the well-known German media holding “SPIEGEL” and American media holding “DISCOVERY COMMUNICATIONS”, state radio and broadcasting companies of Italy (“RAI”), German (“ZDF”) and Denmark (“DANISH BROADCASTING”) and many others. |
